Bikepacking means different things to different people. Whatever it means to you, hopefully you'll find something here of interest ... reviews, reports, MYOG and general ramblings. If you'd like to share something of interest get in touch by emailing email@example.com
Saturday, Sunday and Monday were spent scouting for the Bear Bones 200. The weather was superb, the riding fantastic and the midges out in force ... anyone entering is in for a real treat! The finishing touches are just being added to the route at the moment, some ups are being turned into downs and vice versa ...Expect a real mix!
7 fords in 6km!
Paul gets attacked by his hammock.
One of the longest downhills you're likely to find.
Plenty of ups too.
This may or may not make an appearance.
3 hours later we got hit by a thunder storm ... but stayed dry!
There's now 28 days left to enter the 2011 Bear Bones 200. If the idea of taking part in the Uk's only bikepacking ITT appeals, then get over to http://www.bearbonesbikepacking.co.uk/ and enter on-line ... you never know, it might not be as misty as the above picture would suggest!
Everyone likes reading about other peoples bikepacking trips and everyone enjoys hearing about new bits of kit that folk have tried ... oddly not so many people like writing about either!
Now's your chance to inspire the world with your tales of trips to near and far or maybe sink everyone into greater debt by telling them about your latest kit find.
If you've got something that you think might be of interest to the good folk in Bear Bones land then tell us about it. It doesn't have to be a novel or eligible for the Booker prize short list ... it just needs to be vaugly interesting and relevant. So send your scribblings to stuart@bearbonesbikepacking and we'll make you famous.
